Glass

Fused Glass been fired (heat-processed) in a kiln at a high temperature (about 1450° f) melting sheets of glass together into one piece. The fusing process takes about 24 hours.The shaping of the glass is done in a second process either slumping or draping (about 1250° f). This process takes an additional 20+ hours.All of the pieces shown can be made in any color for no additional charge

 

"Glass Sippers"

Blown Glass Straws are each handmade in my studio. Made from Borosilicate tubing, after annealing the glass is strong and comparable to "Pyrex®".Straws are reusable, durable, microwave & dishwasher safe. And you are not adding to the landfill! Can be used on hot or cold beverages, and perfect for sensitive or recently whitened teeth.Never use a plastic straw again!
